SETI@home

Welcome to my SETI@home information page.
  ガイジン向けに、拙い英語で書いてありますが、堪忍してください。

Outline
SETI@home is a scientific experiment that uses Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).
We can participate by running a free program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data.

In December 30th, 1999, I began to analyze by running the SETI@home screensaver on a old PC.
But soon, I became impatient and gave it up, because its speed was so slow that it could not complete 1W.U. in a day.

After 18 months, I bought a new PC.
With it as a trigger, I resumed analyzing by the "command-line version" client software.
And nowdays, some PCs are always running.
